Monday Excursions 2012 - The Road to Vraic & Ruin

Mondays

Road to Vraic and Ruin
North Tour
A half day guided coach tour with collections from hotels
starting at 9.15am and concluding in St Peter Port at
approximately 1.00pm.
Our coach will head north towards St Sampsons and ‘The
Bridge’, passing sites specific to Guernsey’s bygone industries
such as shipbuilding, quarrying and horticulture before joining
the coast at Pembroke, arguably Guernsey’s most spectacular
beach, nestling behind fragrant furze breaks and where the
famous Guernsey cow can often be seen grazing the fairways
of the Royal Guernsey Golf Course.
We then head inland for a tour of the Guernsey Freesia Centre,
one of the Island’s remaining horticultural enterprises, before
re-joining the coast road. The drive south takes in the rugged
coastline and sweeping beaches along our west coast before
returning to St Peter Port. A refreshment break will be taken
en route.
Cost: £15.00 per person, under 12’s £7.50

Thanks

Just a quick note to say 'thank you' for all your help.

The buses were there to pick us up right outside the cinema and were very professional!

It made a lovely end to the evening to all go home together!
